There was disruption on the railway line between Dundee and Perth on Monday after a car got stuck on a level crossing.
Emergency services were dealing with the incident at about 7.20pm.
A member of the public who was stuck on the train told The Courier: “We were told a car had an incident at a level crossing and that checks needed to be carried out before we could start moving again.”

Trains between Glasgow Queen Street and Aberdeen were unable to run and cancelled, delayed or revised as a result.
Network Rail engineers checked equipment on the line before it reopened at 8pm but disruption is set to continue for most of the evening.

A spokesperson for Network Rail said: “Trains are now running again between Perth and Dundee after a car became stuck on Grange level crossing on the Tay coast line shortly before 7pm on November 1 during a planned road closure.
“Passengers are advised to check National Rail enquiries as some services are facing minor delays after the disruption.”
