A man escaped serious injury after being pulled from an overturned car following a rush-hour collision on one of Dundee busiest roads.
The Citroen and Ford were involved in a collision on Broughty Ferry road just before 4pm.
The silver Citroen ended up on its roof as a result of the impact and a man was pulled from the vehicle by two passers-by.
It took around an hour for the overturned car to be removed from the road.
Remarkably, its driver had only sustained superficial injuries.

The occupants of the Ford were unhurt.
Broughty Ferry Road resident Azim Salami said he heard a “loud thud” as the two vehicles collided.
He said: “I was in the bedroom and heard a loud thud.
“Some friends of ours were passing then phoned to say there had been an accident.
“They stopped and I think it was them who pulled the man from the car.
“He wasn’t seriously hurt. He just had cuts to his face.”
The accident led to major rush-hour delays with traffic heading into Dundee city centre diverted along Arbroath Road while the stricken vehicles were recovered.
