Police have launched an investigation into the unexplained death of a man in a block of flats in Dundee.
Officers were called to Fairbairn Street on Tuesday after the man, believed to be in his 40s, was found inside a home.
Residents say there has been a presence on the street throughout the day while the death is looked into.
Forensics van at scene
One local said a forensics van was parked near the junction with Arklay Street at around noon.
He said: “It isn’t uncommon to see the police here for one reason or another.
“The forensic van was here earlier in the day and an officer has been stationed inside the block.
“There have been officers coming into the block throughout the day, I noticed a police jeep earlier and then a van.
“It’s awful to hear someone has lost their life and my condolences go out to the man’s family.”
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Officers were called following the sudden death of a man whose body was found within an address on Fairbairn Street, Dundee, on Tuesday.
“The death is being treated as unexplained and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal in due course.”
