He’s been hanging about on the streets of Dundee all summer but now Oor Wullie has gone into hibernation.
Statues from the Oor Wullie Bucket Trail have been removed from public view and are being stored at DC Thomson’s former West Ward Works.

All 55 statues on public display as part of the Bucket Trail were taken from the streets on Saturday night.
The 15 touring Wullies are still in the City Square.
The Oor Wullie Bucket Trail posted a host of videos on its Facebook page showing the statues being removed.

They will be given a spit and polish before all 55 statues from the trail plus 13 touring statues and 35 mini-statues go on display at Slessor Gardens from September 9 to 11.
Thousands of tickets for the Slessor Gardens event have already been sold online and anyone who wants to see the entire Oor Wullie army in one place is urged to book their ticket as soon as possible.
The statues will then be auctioned off in aid The Archie Foundation at Dundee Rep.
