A woman has died after an accident on the A90 near Inchture on Wednesday night. Emergency services were alerted at 9.45pm after reports that a car had collided with the back of a lorry. Sadly, a 37-year-old woman was later confirmed dead. The lorry driver was unhurt. Police were joined by an ambulance trauma team, fire crew and workers from BEAR Scotland at the scene of the accident on the west-bound carriageway. It is believed the lorry was parked in a layby when the car collided. Both west-bound lanes were closed as emergency services dealt with the accident with tailbacks to the A85 junction. The road reopened at around 6.30am on Thursday. Any witnesses to the accident are asked to phone police on 101.
