A fundraising page has been launched to cover the funeral costs of tragic Dundee mum Marie Low.
Marie, 36, died on Sunday afternoon after an altercation in the Douglas area of the city.
Police were alerted to a disturbance in Ballantrae Terrace shortly before 3pm.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, but attempts to save the 36-year-old were unsuccessful.
Woman charged
A 30-year-old woman has been charged in connection with the death and is expected to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
A public crowdfunding page has now been created to help pay for Marie’s funeral. The Just Giving page, set up by Natalie MacLean, describes the Douglas mum as “one in a million” and says her family and friends have been left devastated by her death.
The fundraising page also reveals Marie was set to become a gran for the first time in December.
Natalie said: “Sadly on September 4, three beautiful girls have lost their beautiful amazing mum to a very sad horrific death.
“Marie was due to become a granny for the first time in December and sadly will no longer get to experience this amazing time.
“Her kids are in pieces as well as her own mum and the rest of her family and close friends.
“All I ask of people is if they can donate as little as £1 towards the help of the funeral for this beautiful woman. Any help would be greatly appreciated and very very grateful.
“Such a sad tragic horrible thing to happen to someone. Sleep tight Marie. You will always be one in a million!!”
Police are continuing to investigate Sunday’s tragedy and are asking any witnesses or people with information to phone them on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
