Police have reopened City Quay in Dundee after an early-morning incident on Tuesday.
Officers rushed to the area shortly after 6.30am following reports of concern for an individual.
The immediate area around the waterfront and quay was sealed off with people advised to stay away from the zone, which contains hundreds of homes and numerous businesses.
The person had been taken to safety and given assistance by 9.30am.
City Quay resident and secretary of Dundee City Centre and Harbour Community Council Sheena Wellington said she saw the police activity when she opened her curtains on Tuesday morning.
Sheena said: “I read about the incident on social media and then when I opened my curtains I could see some of what is going on.
“There was quite a bit of activity with police and other people.
“A couple of police cars were parked up while people were being kept away from the area.
“I could see the police talking to someone who looked to be quite young.”
