A delighted Dundee family have praised council workers for rescuing their cat — which was stuck up a tree for three days.
One-year-old Jake found himself unable to get down again after scaling a tall tree in Fintry’s Finlathen Park.
Jake had been stuck since Monday but was finally rescued after big-hearted forestry workers stepped in to help.
Following Thursday afternoon’s rescue, delighted owner Mandy Curtis said: “We’re never able to keep him in.
“This is the third time he’s climbed a tree and got stuck – and the last time he was up a bigger one than this.
“He’s been up there since Monday. The kids will be delighted he’s down now.”
Council forestry worker George Callander, who was boasting a scratch mark following the rescue, said: “This is my first cat. We just usually deal with trees.”
