The 42-year-old became involved in a verbal altercation with a group of three to five men in the Stannergate around 9.30pm on Wednesday September 21. The group, all said to be in their 20s, then carried out a brutal assault on the man that left him with serious injuries. He was then taken to hospital for treatment. The incident occurred opposite the junction of Dundee Road and Margaret Crescent. Anyone with information that could assist police with their inquiries should contact Police Scotland’s Tayside Division on 101.
