Police are hoping to speak with two members of the public who aided a man who seriously hurt himself in a fall on Monday morning.
A male is currently in a critical but stable condition in Ninewells hospital after being discovered on the ground on Strathmartine Road at 11.35am on Monday.
The man suffered a serious head-wound and was found just north of the junction between Strathmartine Road, Laird Street and Harestane Road.
His identity has been established and his next of kin have been informed.
He is described as being 54 years of age, approximately five foot nine inches tall, slim build and has short dark hair. He was wearing a black zip up coat, dark jeans and grey shoes.
Police would like to talk to two members of the public who came to the aid of the man prior to the arrival of the ambulance.
A woman, described as a jogger, and a man in his 50’s are both said to have helped the man as he lay injured.
The female jogger is described as being in her 40’s, five foot six inches tall, slim build with short dark hair.
The man is described as about 50 years of age, five feet ten inches tall, of average build with dark hair.
Police have said there is no reason to suspect any criminality at this time and are asking for anyone with any information to contact them on 101.
