A youth worker is facing jail after he was caught swapping child abuse images with other perverts online.
Matthew Lynch even encouraging one man to rape a baby in disturbing Skype conversations.
The 24-year-old told police officers “I’ve never done anything – I work with children” when they raided his home in November last year.
An investigation into the contents of his smartphone and laptop, however, unmasked horrifying conversations with online perverts.
In one conversation another depraved paedophile commiserated with Lynch as he told him he could have watched him abusing a young child had he been online.
Lynch asked for details of how the man had abused the child and replied “wow”.
Forensic examination of his computer saw officers recover six indecent images from Skype and conversation logs which included discussions about abusing children.
Lynch, now of Calder Grove in Edinburgh, pleaded guilty on indictment to charges of downloading child abuse images between March 17 and November 17 last year and distributing them on March 23 last year at an address in Dundee’s Portpatrick Terrace.
Sheriff Alastair Carmichael deferred sentence until next month for social work reports.
He released Lynch on bail, placing him on the sex offenders register ahead of sentencing.
