Recent time-lapse footage shows the construction of Dundee’s ambitious new railway station on the waterfront.
The complex will include a concourse, shops, a cafe and 120-bedroom hotel all in one building.
Key to all this is the installation of a 1,100-tonne steel frame, expected to be completed by the end of the year. Focus will then turn to bringing in metal decking and concrete floor slabbing to form the station concourse.
A statement from Dundee Waterfront representatives on this latest stage of the development said: “To avoid disruption to the main Scottish East Coast Railway the building frame was constructed off site and hoisted into place overnight.”
