Police have renewed their appeal to trace a violent prisoner who absconded from Castle Huntly prison. David Arthur, aged 31, was on a temporary period of leave when he disappeared. He was last seen in the area of Shore Road, Perth around 12.30pm on Monday. He has family and associates in the Paisley area, with enquiries ongoing there and throughout the wider Glasgow region. David Arthur was last seen in Perth on Monday afternoon. He is described as 5 foot 10 inches in height, blue eyes, slim build with short black hair. His last known clothing is thought to be a grey jumper and dark tracksuit bottoms. If seen, members of the public should not approach Arthur and should instead report all sightings to police immediately via 101. Police urge anyone with information on Arthur’s whereabouts to dial 101 or leave information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
