A man killed in a fatal road accident near Dundee on Wednesday afternoon has been named.
Charles Kelly, 55, from Thomson Terrace, Montrose died after being struck by a lorry on the A90 near Petterden.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “Enquiries into the full set of circumstances of the incident are ongoing and Tayside Division would appeal for anyone who may have information that could assist officers with their enquiries to contact Tayside Division on 101.
“As with all sudden deaths a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
Mr Kelly was declared dead at the scene of the accident, which happened at around 3pm on Wednesday.
The northbound carriageway was closed from Powrie Brae, leading to massive tailbacks stretching back onto the Kingsway in Dundee.
