Police have launched an appeal for information after a “vulnerable” child was assaulted in a common close in Dundee by a man.
The girl was uninjured as a result of the incident, which happened on Strathmartine Road at 6.30pm on October 18.
The man is described as being about 30 to 40, about six feet tall and of slim build.
At the time, he was wearing a black woollen hat, a black baggy thigh length jacket, a light coloured hooded sweatshirt, grey baggy jogging bottoms and dark trainers.
Detective Constable Alan Shepherd said: “We are appealing for information to assist us in tracing the man responsible for assaulting this vulnerable young girl.
“It is understood he was in the company of the victim and another child before the incident took place.
“They had been walking together in Moncur Crescent, Mains Road and Mid Road between 6.15pm and 6.30pm.
“The man was last seen in Mid Road running towards Mains Road at about 6.35pm.
“Anyone who recognises the description of this man or anyone who was in this area of Dundee at the time and can assist us with our investigation into the incident, is asked contact Police Scotland on 101.
