Police have appealed for information after a safe containing £8000 was stolen from a Dundee garage.
The cash was taken during a raid on Isla Street’s MacMotorsport Ltd on Wednesday night.
The owner of the garage told The Courier he first became aware of the stolen safe when he turned up for work on Thursday morning.
Officers are now urging members of the public with relevant information to make themselves known.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police Scotland is appealing for information after a safe was stolen from an Auto Centre in Isla Street sometime between 11pm on Wednesday October 26 and 6am on Thursday October 27.
“The safe contained a four figure sum of money.
“Anyone who knows who is responsible should contact Tayside Division on 101.”
