A man has been taken to hospital after a car struck a lamp post in Broughty Ferry on Monday evening.
The incident happened at around 5.30pm on Dundee Road, between the junctions of Home Street and East Home Street.
The front of the vehicle involved, a black Volkswagen Passat, was severely damaged as a result of the impact, although the driver, believed to be a man in his mid-30s, was not thought to be seriously hurt.
He was taken away in an ambulance as a precaution, while police blocked off the road at the A930 junction so debris could be removed.
