More than 120 staff who faced losing their jobs when HMRC closes its Caledonian House offices in Dundee could be given jobs at Sidlaw House.
HMRC announced last year it intends to close its two Dundee offices by 2018.
Caledonian House, where 130 people work, is to close completely while the 650 staff employed at Sidlaw House in Dundee Technology Park would be transferred to the Department of Work and Pensions.
It was feared that all jobs at Caledonian House would be lost.
However, the Public and Commercial Services Union said HMRC has now told staff they will be able to transfer to Sidlaw House.
But at least half the workforce – those working in the corporation tax department – will have to take on new roles.
