A handcrafted brooch inspired by a DC Thomson building is being auctioned off to raise money for the ARCHIE Foundation.
Islay Spalding, a Dundee-based jewellery designer and maker, created the silver brooch during Scottish Jewellery Week, held as part of the inaugural Dundee Design Festival earlier this year.
The West Ward Works setting inspired the creation, which Islay is now selling for the ARCHIE Foundation’s £2 million appeal.
Islay, 33, said: “I couldn’t help but be inspired by the incredible history and industrial look of West Ward Works and I feel the brooch captures that.”
The silver and mixed media brooch is currently on display at Tea Green’s Concept Atelier at The Old Flour Mill.
Potential bidders have until December 21 to put in an offer online or in the silent auction box located by the display.
