A man had to be cut free from his car after it overturned on the busy A92 Arbroath Road on Saturday afternoon.
The southbound carriageway had to be closed to allow firefighters to cut the man from free from his Volkswagern Bora, which had overturned on the roundabout at Ethiebeaton Park.
The incident occurred shortly after 2pm.
No other vehicles were involved in the collision and the man was the sole occupant of the car.
He was taken to Ninewells Hospital by ambulance for treatment but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
He was conscious and talking as he was removed from the stricken car, which had mounted the roundabout and come to a rest on its side.
Southbound traffic was diverted down Victoria Street and through Monifieth.
