Thousands of partygoers will be transported from Dundee to Ibiza this weekend with the help of a 26-piece orchestra.
Saturday’s Ibiza Orchestra Live concert at Slessor Gardens comes off the back of a sell-out tour across the UK.
In addition to the main event, there will be performances from DJs and singers, playing some of the biggest hits from the White Island’s nightclub scene.
Who is appearing at Ibiza Orchestra Live?
The full running order for the event is as follows.
- 4pm: DJ Pandar
- 5pm: Singer-songwriter and The Voice contestant Nikki Ambers
- 6pm: Electronic duo Wideboys
- 8pm: DJ drummer and TikTok star StephaniB
- 9pm: Ibiza Orchestra
- 9.45pm: Interval
- 10.15pm: Ibiza Orchestra
The event is due to run until around 11pm.
Ibiza Orchestra Live is the second event being held at Slessor Gardens this weekend – with Dundee Sausage and Cider Festival taking place at the Waterfront on Friday night.
Can you take your own food and seating?
Those attending are not allowed to take their own food and drink – unless they have spoken to organisers about a medical condition – with a number of bars and food stalls available on the night.
However, fans are allowed to take a chair or blanket.
How much does it cost?
Tickets are still up for grabs online, with general admission passes available for £45 plus a £5 booking fee.
Anyone purchasing a ticket can receive 25% off using the code LASTCHANCE25.
Organisers are also offering a £5 ticket add-on to jump the queues.
Will roads be closed?
Police Scotland said there are no planned closures but but pedestrian traffic will be busier than usual.
A statement also warned short closures may be needed at short notice as revellers leave Slessor Gardens.
“The possibility exists that there may need to be very short temporary closures in the area, particularly at closing time of 11pm on Saturday, to allow crowds to disperse quickly and safely, so please be prepared for some disruption,” they said on Facebook.
“We would also like to ask drivers in the area to be particularly aware of the higher numbers of pedestrians.”
What will the weather be like?
Fans could be in luck with the latest Met Office forecast showing a largely dry day is expected on Saturday.
After a bright start, it will cloud over by late morning and stay that way most of the day, with highs of 15°C.
However, there is a small chance of a shower around the time the gates open.
