A man has been arrested in connection with an alleged stabbing on a Dundee street.
A huge cordon was erected around Helmsdale Avenue in Kirkton on Thursday afternoon after a 29-year-old man suffered serious injuries.

Police Scotland has confirmed a 44-year-old man was arrested on Friday in connection with a serious assault, understood to be a stabbing.
Large emergency response
One resident of the street returned home at around 4.30pm to find police conducting door-to-door inquiries.
She said: “I’ve lived here for a number of years and we aren’t strangers to seeing police here.
“However, there was a sizeable cordon erected around our homes.
“I was taken aback by the extent of the response.
“There were two ambulances here.”
Another woman said she was not surprised to see police on the street.
“There are always police here for one reason or another,” she said.
“I’d be lying to say I was surprised.
“There was a load of bobbies here and there was forensic officers were taking pictures in the street.”
Police were back patrolling the area on Friday morning but it’s understood this was to reassure the public.
A police spokeswoman said: “A 44-year-old man has been arrested on connection with a serious assault on Helmsdale Avenue, Dundee, around 4.10pm on Thursday.
