Plans have been lodged to create Dundee’s first drive-through coffee shop. It was reported last year that Starbucks were poised to move into a unit just off the A90, creating 80 jobs. A planning application for the creation of a coffee shop complete with drive-through facilities has now been submitted to Dundee City Council. If given the green light, work would begin on the Fulton Road site, which developers insist will be “the first of its kind in Dundee”. Proposals have also been submitted to create a new pub and restaurant within the same area. Pub chain Marston’s hope to create a facility complete with a car park and staff living accommodation. It’s thought between 40 and 60 jobs would be created if planning is granted.
