The time has finally come for the Dundee University class of 2020 and 2021 to graduate with their peers in person at the Caird Hall this week.
Dundee University kicked started the first of seven graduation ceremonies being held in the city centre this week.
The long awaited celebration is an opportunity for the summer and winter class of 2020 and summer 2021 to reunite with their former students after two years of waiting for some.
Many were forced to have their ceremonies online in previous years after the Covid pandemic hit in March 2020, putting the country into a strict lockdown.
Last year, a petition was launched by heart-broken students missing out on celebrations to encourage universities to allow smaller, in-person ceremonies.
But now it’s all smiles as they celebrate with their nearest and dearest. Our photographer Mhairi Edwards was there to capture the special day.
The heavy rain didn’t dampen spirits as graduates left their ceremony.
