The makers of a documentary on Dundee record shop Groucho’s have released a new trailer.
Titled Groucho’s: More Than a Record Store, the film seeks to shine a light on the local institution, which celebrated its 40th anniversary last year.
With vinyl sales recently announced at a 25-year high, it’s hopeful that the shop will see many more.
“If you can get what you want to say down on to three minutes of vinyl, it can be perfect,” said Alastair “Breeks” Brodie in the clip.
Having faced down the myriad challenges of the changing music industry, Mr Brodie offers a straightforward motivation for the shop’s continued service.
“We give music to the masses and try to provide something unique to Dundee,” he said. “I’m just trying to encourage people to share my love for the physical form of the record.”
A release date for the film, which is being independently created by Dundee man Greig Stott, is as yet unconfirmed.
