Thieves stole a safe containing a four-figure sum of money from a luxury country resort outside Dundee.
The safe was taken from Forbes of Kingennie in Angus on Sunday night.
The break-in was discovered on Monday morning by a member of staff.
It is the second time in a month the resort has been targeted.
One employee, who asked not to be named, said there had been a break-in at the start of December but the perpetrator had not stolen anything.
“We think it is maybe the same people so we are going to be looking at increasing security and putting in extra cameras,” said the employee.
The safe was taken from the sports department of the complex, which collects fees for fishing.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Police Scotland is appealing for information after a safe was stolen from Forbes of Kingennie, Leisure Resort in Angus.
“Thieves made off with the safe, containing a four figure sum of money, sometime between 4.30pm on Sunday January 8 and 7.45am on Monday January 9.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Tayside Division on 101.”
