Cannabis plants have been seized in a raid of a Dundee home spanning three days.
Police officers and forensics remain at the Uist Terrace home on Friday afternoon, after they first swooped on Wednesday.
It is not yet known how many plants were removed, or their street value, but residents of the street say police have remained on the scene “day and night”.
Three police vehicles were parked outside the house on Friday morning and a fourth later appeared to drop off more officers.
One resident, who has lived on the street for three years, said: “There is a lot of concern from neighbours.
“Nobody knows what’s going on.
“Police have been here for days.
“There have been police cars, police vans, and a white van.
“The officers are wearing lots of protective gear – hats, gloves and masks.
“They’ve been coming in and out of the house, carrying plastic bags and things.”
Another nearby resident said: “Police have been there day and night, just sitting in their cars.
“A white van comes and goes.
“I saw a photographer with them yesterday.
“Nothing like this has happened before.
“No one knows what’s going on.”
One man who lives on the street said: “I’ve seen the police coming and going.
“Nobody seems to know what’s going on.”
Another resident said: “The police are here constantly.
“They’ve not spoken to us. I would have thought they would come to us.
Enquiries continuing
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called around 1.40pm on Wednesday to a property on Uist Terrace after the discovery of cannabis plants within the building.
“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
