Woman, 22, taken to hospital after being rescued from River Tay in Dundee

A woman has been taken to hospital after being rescued from the River Tay.
An emergency operation was launched on Thursday night after concerns were raised for a person in the water just after 9pm.
The woman had entered the water at City Quay, with members of the public raising the alarm.
Broughty Ferry RNLI launched both its boats and police and paramedics were also called to the lifeboat station.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Officers were called to a concern for person report at West Victoria Dock Road, Dundee, around 9.05pm on Thursday.
“A 22-year-old woman was rescued from the river by the RNLI and checked over by ambulance before being taken to Ninewells Hospital.”
A spokesman for HM Coastguard said: “We received a call from a member of the public and further call from the police about a woman entering the water.
“Both the inshore lifeboat (ILB) and the all-weather lifeboat launched.
“The ILB recovered her to the lifeboat station where she was passed into the care of the ambulance service.”
