Ont the same night at the same time, 5 Star Wrestling hosted a televised wrestling exhibition at the Dundee Ice Arena.
Dominant Wrestling, at the Ice Arena, featured former WWE star Rey Mysterio.
Wrestling promoter David Low, from SWE Wrestling, who organised the Ardler Complex event, revealed the venue was so busy eager fans were turned away at the door.
He said: “It was an overwhelming success.
“We sold out and actually had to turn people away at the door.
“Our Facebook is on fire with positive reviews.
“We tore the roof off the Ardler Complex.
“It was really overwhelming and so humbling.”
Dominant Wrestling, which was broadcast live on Spike TV, received glowing tributes from fans on social media.
Mainstream wrestlers Rey Mysterio, Drew Galloway and Carlito all delighted supporters.
Promoter Dan Hinkles said: “It went really nicely.
“There were far more there than I expected.
“I don’t have the official figures yet, but I’m fairly sure we broke the 2000 mark.
“I’m really happy with how it went.”
SWE Wrestling comes to the Ardler Complex again on Saturday February 25.
Dominant Wrestling will begin a 30 week tour on June 10.
Each event will be televised live on Spike TV.
