Dundee is set to host auditions for TV juggernaut The X Factor next month.
The X Factor production team will be holding open auditions in the Overgate Shopping Centre on Friday 10th February between 11am and 5pm.
The judges — which will not include famous faces from the show such as Simon Cowell — are looking for a range of fresh talent for the brand new series.
Talented hopefuls will be expected to audition within the X Factor booth, which will be located on the lower mall.
Solo singers and groups are welcome to try their hand but must be aged 16 or over.
Commenting ahead of the arrival of X Factor to Dundee, Malcolm Angus, centre manager at the Overgate said: “This is a unique opportunity for aspiring singers and bands to let their talent shine in front of the influential X Factor Production Team.
“We are expecting a huge response on the 10th and would encourage interested talent who think they have what it takes to come to Overgate and meet the team.”
Auditions were held in the city for the first time in 2015 with the X Factor production team also visiting various other locations in Scotland, including Inverness, Elgin, Aberdeen, Perth, Stirling and Edinburgh.
Last year’s competition was won by 23-year-old Londoner Matt Terry who won the hearts of viewers across the country.
His single, When Christmas Comes Around, charted at number eight over Christmas, with Clean Bandit’s Rockabye claiming top spot.
Matt, alongside runner-up Saara Aalto, and the other finalists, 5 After Midnight, Honey G, Emily Middlemas, Four of Diamonds, Ryan Lawire and Sam Lavery, are gearing up for a UK-wide tour.
They will begin in Nottingham on February 23 before heading up north the following week.
