It may be pretty far down the list of potential dinner time topics, but Dundee Science Centre thinks it’s times to dish the dirt on poo.
A family show aimed at lifting the lid on all things excrement is launching at the centre on February 8.
A host of activities are also promised, including the “lucky dip” where a fully grown man dressed as a poo will encourage visitors to stick their hand in to a toilet, pull out a surprise poo, and “match the faeces with the species”.
The family show will also explain how our body gets the most out of our food — and even explain how to make the perfect poo.
Rebecca Erskine, exhibition and community engagement manager, explained: “Whether we always like it or not, many children are fascinated by poo, how it’s made and what it looks like, so we’ve created a fun-packed family show and lots of activities to help them understand their own digestive system, and that of animals.
“There’s lots of sticky and messy demonstrations to capture their imaginations and bring the subject to life.”
