A man who died in a horrific car crash on the A90 on Wednesday had got engaged at the start of December.
Police confirmed that 25-year-old Chris Gallacher from Dundee, also known as Chrisy, died after his car collided with the back of a parked Asda lorry on the northbound carriageway around 6am on Wednesday.
It is understood his parents have travelled back to Dundee from a holiday in Florida following the tragedy.
Chris worked in the service department at Peter Vardy Land Rover in Aberdeen, and was believed to have been travelling to work when the accident happened.
He and Nikki McLean got engaged on a trip to New York in December.
His family are too upset to speak following the tragedy.
But tributes have poured in on social media, with friends expressing their devastation at the news.
Tracey Ferguson posted on The Courier’s Facebook page: “Totally devastated, still can’t believe this, so tragic. You were one of the best Chrisy, thinking of your family and friends.”
Grace Millar added: “Heartbroken. A true gentleman and a natural comedian. We’re all gonna smile and laugh a little less now. Sleep easy mate.”
