Three people have been arrested after police seized £4,700 worth of cannabis and £700 in cash during raids in Dundee.
A 26-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were arrested for drugs offences following the searches in the Douglas area of the city on August 17.
A 51-year-old man was also charged in connection with an outstanding apprehension.
The drug warrants were executed as part of Operation Argonite, an ongoing crime reduction effort which supports those most vulnerable to drug related harm across Dundee.
It focuses around “violent crime hot spot areas” in Dundee.
Operation seeks to identify perpetrators and support victims of drug crimes
Sergeant Ian Borthwick, who leads Operation Argonite, said: “While the operation actively seeks to identify the perpetrators of drug related crime, we also place significant importance on ensuring the welfare of victims of it.
“Such safeguarding measures are implemented to protect victims from further harm and exploitation.
“Vulnerable individuals are often subject to violence and intimidation, and often have their homes taken over in instances of cuckooing.
“Through working alongside partner agencies, we ensure vulnerable people receive the most rounded support possible.
He added: “We would urge anyone who is the victim of drug related harm or anyone who has concerns to get in touch with police by phoning 101.
“Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers by phoning 0800 555 111.”
