A restaurant chain which donates 100% of its profits to local charities and good causes has outlined its plans to open a store in Dundee.
Boozy Cow — who have restaurants in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling — have confirmed they will open a new eatery in the premises of the recently-closed Laing’s Bar and Kitchen on Roseangle.
The company confirmed they would retain the unique beer-garden feature many pub-goers feared would go, and would be offering food and drink at the new venture.
In a statement, the company said: “Rumours have been circulating the streets of Dundee, whispers about Laing’s and the Boozy Cow and murmurs of beer gardens no more. We’re thrilled to announce that some of the rumours are true.
“The Boozy Cow Dundee will open at 8 Roseangle where currently Laing’s Bar and Kitchen is located. We are also happy to confirm that we are keeping the dope-ass beer garden.
“Laings was an established and well-liked institution in Dundee, and we understand that there are some of you who are gutted to see it go.
“Rest assured that we’ll do our best to honour its legacy.”
