A taxi driver has been issued a fine for careless driving after a crash involving an ambulance on a major Dundee road.
Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to the incident on Arbroath Road, close to the Scott Fyffe Roundabout, just after 3.30pm on Monday.
The incident led to the taxi colliding with a sign.
It is understood no one was injured and that the ambulance was not carrying any patients at the time.
One onlooker said: “The traffic was backed up onto the Scott Fyffe Roundabout and the road was blocked.
“It also caused delays towards Dawson Park.
“At its peak there were two fire engines, two police cars and two ambulances.
“Police were directing traffic away from Arbroath Road back on to the roundabout.
“One of the ambulances came and went within 10 minutes.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers attended report of a crash involving an ambulance and a car at around 3.35pm on Arbroath Road, Dundee on Monday.
“The driver of the car was issued with a conditional offer for careless driving. The road has now reopened.”
A conditional offer is a set penalty of a fine and points on a driver’s licence, and is issued for minor incidents on the road.
