Seven bus services are set to be diverted through Dundee city centre during roadworks.
A section of Nethergate, between West Marketgait and Union Street, will be shut from next Monday (October 10) for about nine days.
No traffic will be able to use the road, including many of the city’s busiest bus services.
Xplore Dundee says the following buses will be diverted:
- 5/5a – Ninewells Hospital to Barnhill
- 6 – Ninewells Hospital to city centre
- 17 – Ninewells Hospital to Whitfield
- 18 – Evening service to Claverhouse
- 22 – Ninewells Hospital to Craigowl
- 28 – Myrekirk to Douglas
The operator says some stops will be missed during the roadworks.
Drivers have also been warned they face disruption.
A spokesperson for Dundee City Council said: “No traffic will be allowed to use Nethergate from West Marketgait for around 30 metres east of Union Street.
“A diversion via West Marketgait, Yeaman Shore, Whitehall Crescent, Whitehall Street, Crichton Street, Whitehall Crescent, Yeaman Shore, South Marketgait, Thomson Avenue, South Castle Street, Riverside Esplanade, South Union Street and South Marketgait is available.”
Meanwhile roadworks on the A92 between Dundee and Arbroath get under way this Sunday for three weeks.
