Two people have been taken to hospital after a two-vehicle crash near a Tesco store in Dundee.
The incident happened on Thursday afternoon just before 3pm on Riverside Drive.
The drivers of both cars were taken to hospital, the extent of their injuries is not known however one eyewitness said it looked “very serious”.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said crews assisted paramedics in removing one person from one of the vehicles.
The eyewitness said: “Ambulance, fire service and the police are all there.
“I was on my way to Dundee Airport when I saw it.
“I’m just in shock seeing it. It’s not a nice thing to see at all, it’s horrible.
“I’m not sure what has happened.
“It’s going to take a while to clear it all up I think.
“I just hope everyone involved is OK.”
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said crews were called at 2.53pm.
She added: “We had two appliances at the scene. Crews received the stop message at 3.25pm.
“We assisted ambulance to remove one casualty from one of the vehicles and made the scene safe.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.55pm on Thursday police received a report of a road crash involving two vehicles on Riverside Drive, Dundee.
“Emergency services attended and both drivers were taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment.”
The incident caused some traffic issues and delays in the area until both cars were removed..
