The driver, who is in his 70s, was treated by paramedics before being taken away in an ambulance. The incident happened outside the West Port Bar on North Lindsay Street shortly before 4.40pm. A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “We were called to the scene at 4.38pm where a red Hyundai had mounted the pavement. “it was a one-vehicle incident and there was no one injured but the male driver was taken by ambulance to be checked in hospital.”
