The body of a woman has been discovered in a Dundee multi.
The 42-year-old, who has not been named, was found in a flat on the fifth floor of Dudhope Court in St Mary Street on Wednesday.
The cause of her death is not known but is not thought to be suspicious.
Police officers continue to guard the door to the property while CID and forensics officers have also been seen at the scene.
Dudhope Court woman’s death ‘unexplained’
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a concern for person around 1.10pm on Wednesday.
“Officers attended at an address in St Mary Street, Dundee, and the body of a 42-year-old woman was found within.
“The death is currently being treated as unexplained, but not thought to be suspicious, and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
Residents in the multi said they were upset and shocked by the death.
One man said: “I first saw police at the flat on Wednesday evening.
“There were uniformed officers as well as plain clothes and guys in white suits that I thought must be forensic people.
“There was a lot of coming and going so it was obvious something pretty bad had happened.”
Another resident added: “Police have been at the building all day on Thursday.
“Police are still outside the door of the flat involved with lots of coming and going of plain clothed officers that look like CID.
“It’s really upsetting to hear this.
“My thought go out to the woman’s family.”
