The nine-hole golf course at Caird Park in Dundee is to reopen this weekend after being targeted by vandals.
Leisure and Culture Dundee say the course will partially reopen on Saturday morning, although a number of holes are still unplayable.
The course will be temporarily reduced to seven holes while repairs continue at the second and third hole.
Speaking after the incident on October 13, a veteran greenkeeper dubbed the vandalism the worst he’d seen in 47 years of working at the course.
Chunks of grass were ripped out, and damage was seen at several tees and fairways.
Three greenkeepers’ gators vehicles, worth £16,000 each were also stolen during the break-in.
It was initially predicted it could take months to repair the damage, which was condemned as “despicable”.
It has not been confirmed when the course will fully reopen.
A statement from Golf Dundee – part of Leisure and Culture Dundee – said: “We are happy to announce that the nine-hole course at Caird Park will reopen tomorrow (Saturday) at 8.30am, albeit with a reduced number of seven holes.
“Due to the damage done two weeks ago, the second and third holes are still unplayable and the fourth hole has been shortened but is playable.
“After playing the first hole, players will then walk to the fourth tee and continue from there.
“This seven-hole offering will remain in place until the reinstatement and recovery of the damaged holes.”
It’s not the first time the club has been targeted, with golf buggies stolen just weeks before.
And a spate of attacks were also reported last year, including damage to the greens with dirt bikes.
Club captain Ian Gordon said after the October 13 incident: “We don’t need this.
“We have recently been welcoming more people back to the club and now this happens.
“Something has to be done to increase security and stop these people doing this.”
Police say they are still investigating the October 13 incidents.
