Police are appealing to Dundee partygoers for information after a woman was subjected to a serious sexual assault in the city.
The woman was attacked in the Brook Street area in the West End, at around 1am on Sunday.
Officers cordoned off the street and are now urging who was attending one of “several” parties in the area at the time to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Keir Smith of Dundee CID said: “We are looking to speak with anyone who was in Brook Gardens and Brook Street around 1am (BST) on Sunday.
“Officers are also looking for residents or drivers who may have been in the area, who may have private CCTV, camera doorbells, dashcams or any other recording equipment that may have been operating around that time.
“We know there were several parties in the Brook Gardens area around the time of this incident.
“If you were at one of those parties, please get in touch with the police on 101 quoting reference number PS-20221030-0647.
“In coming days, residents may also see an increased police presence in the area as inquiries are still ongoing.”
A nearby resident said: “The police were along knocking doors on Sunday at about 9am or 10am.
“I’m not sure what’s happened, but it’s not very common for police to be around here.
“This is our second year here and I’ve never really seen anything like this before.
“It’s all students here and it’s a bit of a party street but there’s never anything like this.”
