A woman has been taken to hospital after a tractor and trailer was involved in a crash with a car on the Tay Road Bridge.
The trailer overturned, crashing into the barrier on the central walkway, just before 6pm on Wednesday.
The bridge was closed for about four hours – eventually reopening at just after 10pm.
Temporary pedestrian barriers have been installed to the walkway due to damage caused by the collision.
The incident happened as high winds hit the area but it has not been confirmed whether this was a factor.
Stagecoach East Scotland was forced to cancel all of its services into Dundee following the bridge’s closure, including the 42, X54, X61 and 77A.
Drivers were told to divert via Perth.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a crash involving a car and a tractor towing a trailer on the A92 at the Tay Bridge at 5.55pm on Wednesday.
“One person from the car was taken to Ninewells Hospital by ambulance.
“The road reopened around 10.15pm after the vehicles were recovered.”
