Plans for events to mark Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday in Dundee have been confirmed.
A number of services will take place on Sunday for those wishing to pay their respects to those lost in wars and other conflicts.
Lord Provost Bill Campbell said: “The events in the city are always moving, emotional and it is an honour to take part in them on behalf of the city.
“The people of Dundee will take time to reflect on the huge sacrifices of those before us, and those currently serving, as we come together to pay our respects.”
What services are being held in Dundee?
From 10.40am a parade will leave Dundee High School and head down Reform Street before two minutes’ silence is held at the Garden of Remembrance, outside St Mary’s Church, at 11am.
A wreath laying will take place at the Garden of Remembrance, then a service will follow at St Mary’s.
A service will also take place at the Black Watch Memorial on Powrie Brae, to the north of the city, at 11am. Deputy Lord Provost Kevin Cordell will attend that event.
At around 12.15pm, the Lord Provost and his party will make their way to the Law War Memorial for a wreath-laying service.
Later in the day, at 2.30pm, a service will take place at the Submarine Memorial at City Quay, and a further service will be held at Frigate Unicorn at 3pm.
A two-minute silence will also be observed on Friday at 11am in City Square, when Armistice Day will be marked with a service to which the public are invited to attend.
