Detectives investigating the assault and robbery of a man in Dundee’s West End have issued the description of suspect they want to trace.
The man was attacked and had his phone and wallet taken during the incident in the early hours of Friday morning.
Police have now launched a public appeal to help trace a man they believe is responsible.
They say the incident took place between 4.25am and 4.45am, with the victim walking along the footpath between Larch Street and Blackness Road.
He was assaulted by a man in his 30s who then took off with his phone and wallet. The victim was not injured in the attack.
Suspect description
Police describe the suspect as being around 5ft 8in tall with brown hair and some facial hair.
At the time of the robbery he was wearing a white beanie hat, grey tracksuit bottoms, a white hooded jumper and a black body warmer.
Officers say he left the scene in the direction of Edward Street.
DC Kieran Bradley said: “Thankfully the man was not injured as a result of this incident.
“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area around this time and who witnessed the incident or saw anyone matching the description above to contact us.
“Additionally I would ask anyone with private CCTV or dashcam footage to contact us.”
