Traffic was brought to a standstill on Friday afternoon after a road traffic collision involving a motorcyclist.
A man is understood to have come off his motorbike close to a roundabout on the Kingsway dual carriageway shortly before 2.45pm, east of the Kingsway retail park.
Traffic officers were seen at the location of the incident ambulance was also at the scene.
A male was taken from the scene to Ninewells by ambulance.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We received a call at 2.41pm today to attend a road traffic collision on Kingsway, Dundee.
“We sent one ambulance to the scene. One male patient was taken to Ninewells Hospital.”
