Drivers reported long delays in Dundee on Thursday night as an overturned HGV was recovered from the A90.
The lorry crashed at Emmock Roundabout to the north of the city.
The road was then closed for a period to allow for it to be picked up.
Drivers on the route reported being held up for about two hours.
‘It’s absolute chaos’
One said: “It’s absolute chaos. I have sat in a queue on Powrie Brae for almost two hours.
“Traffic is queued way back to Tealing. Drivers hitting the tailback there are turning off to take the back roads to Dundee.
“There aren’t even any signs warning anyone of the closure.”
Another motorist said: “I was coming out of Dundee and got delayed a little as they recovered the lorry from the roundabout.
“However, traffic coming into Dundee was far worse with the queue tailed all the way back to Tealing.”
Earlier in the day the Scottish Fire and Rescue sent three appliances to the scene.
A spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 2.04pm on Thursday to reports of an overturned lorry near to a garage on Forfar Road, Dundee.
“Operations Control mobilised three fire appliances and specialist resources to the area.
“Crews remained at the scene to assist emergency service partners by making the area safe.”
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said at the time: “We were made aware of an overturned lorry on Jack Martin Way in Dundee around 2pm on Thursday.
“There are no reported injuries and recovery has been arranged for the vehicle.”
