Residents of the Whitfield area of Dundee have been left without water due to a burst pipe.
Homes in part of the DD4 postcode experienced issues on Wednesday due to the four-inch break.
Scottish Water staff are now working on the burst pipe in Summerfield Avenue and said water should be fully restored by the end of Wednesday night.
Residents were told to expect no supply, low pressure and discoloured water until then.
A post to the Scottish Water website said some residents in the DD3 area may also be affected.
A spokesperson said: “We are currently repairing a burst water pipe on Summerfield Avenue which is causing the interruption to the water supply for customers in the DD4 area of Dundee.
“The water supply will gradually return to normal for customers once the repair has been completed.
“While we carry out the repair, please be aware that you may experience no water supply, low / intermittent pressure or discoloured water.”
“The team are working to repair the burst main and will try to restore normal supplies as quickly as possible.
“Scottish Water apologises for any inconvenience caused by this incident.”
