Coffee chain Tim Hortons is set to open its first drive-thru in Dundee this month.
The Canadian multi-national announced the new venue will open on Monday December 12, in the Craigie area.
Customers will be able to get a chance to try their best selling items including Timbits, Iced Capps and Tims Crispy Chicken Sandwich.
Kevin Hydes, chief commercial officer of Tim Hortons said they were looking forward to welcoming customers to the store after years of setbacks at the New Craigie Retail Park site.
It was third time lucky after plans for the new site at Lidl, just off Kingsway East, were previously rejected during two previous bids.
Creating more than 50 jobs Kevin said staff are “incredibly excited” to get started.
‘Dundee was the natural next step’
He said: “The Tim Hortons brand is already well-established in Scotland and given the demand and excitement that continues to grow with our fans here, we felt that Dundee was the natural next step for us to provide more customers access to our offering.”
“The team, which includes some fantastic talent from the area, are incredibly excited to open the doors to our first guests.
“We are really looking forward to December 12 as well as sharing some fantastic prizes with our customers.”
What time will the Tim Hortons store be open?
On opening day the store will open at 7am with free breakfast meals available for the first 100 customers.
Customers will also get the chance to win cash prizes and free drinks for a whole year.
The new drive-thru and restaurant will be open from 6am till midnight every day after opening, with dine-in, takeaway and delivery options available.
