The valiant Dundee Stars were pipped to the finals of the Elite Ice Hockey League play offs by the Cardiff Devils, after a thrilling game Semi Final match.
Almost 7,500 people packed out the Nottingham Motorpoint Arena for Saturday’s game, and the dedicated set of Stars fans who travelled down to the Midlands made their voices heard – with many in the arena also lending the Dundee team their support.
Two early goals saw the Stars get off to a terrific start, but the Devils pressed hard and after an onslaught on the goal of Stars man-of-the-match Joe Fallon, won the game 4 – 2.
The Stars may have lost, but the party hasn’t stopped, and the team will play either Belfast Giants or Sheffield Steelers in a 3rd/4th place play off on Sunday afternoon.
