Three men charged after man, 39, seriously assaulted in Dundee

Three men have been charged after a 39-year-old man in Dundee was seriously assaulted.
Police were called to Princes Street, near the junction with Albert Street, just before 9am on Thursday.
At least eight police vehicles were at the scene at the height of the incident which reportedly started on Victoria Road.
The alleged victim was rushed to Ninewells Hospital but the extent of his injuries are not known.
One witness said officers in riot gear had been part of the police response as they conducted their inquiries.
Three men, aged 30, 31 and 33, are expected to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Friday in connection with the incident.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “At around 8.45am on Thursday, 5 January, 2023, we were called to a report of a serious assault on Victoria Road, Hilltown, Dundee.
“A 39-year-old man was taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment.
“Three men, aged 30, 31 and 33, have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and are due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Friday, 6 January, 2023.”
